Rickety Stool Co; led by GM Ryan, is a Garage division team that made their GFL debut in GFL Year 4 as part of GFL's expansion to 10 teams. GM Ryan was referred by his brother [GM Medium] as a top candidate for the job and started off his career with a bang in our final season in the Redraft Era, GFL Year 4, finishing with a record of 7-7 and a playoff birth. A solid first season led to a playoff win in Round 1 vs the Orangeville Ducks [DK], but they later went on to lose in the 2nd round to eventual Champion GM Gabe of Between the Uprights by 15 points. At the GFL Year 4 Award Show, GM Ryan took home his first GM Of The Year trophy in his rookie year as a GM, a big accomplishment that proved what many GM's thought at the time - GM Ryan was a perfect fit in the league and did an exceptional job right off the bat.
GM Ryan & Rickety Stool Co. took that momentum into GFL Year 5, GFL's first year in the Dynasty format. They entered the season ranked #1 in the Pre-Season Power Rankings and proved all year long that they belonged there, finishing with a record of 10-4, winning their first Garage Division title, and being the unanimous Championship favorite entering the playoffs. With the 1st round BYE out of the way, Rickety Stool Co. dominated in Round 2 and defeated The Golden Rings by a score of 191.72-151.18 to advance to the teams first ever Championship game in their 2nd full season. Things did not go as planned in that Championship Game, losing to GM Gary & Hail Gary by a score of 183.40-108.32. A bitter end to yet another great season, but GM Ryan was able to make history at the GFL Year 5 Award Show, where they took home their 2nd GM Of The Year trophy. The first ever back to back winner of the award and once again proving GM's around the league respected the work & talent being shown all season long. The team also took home the MVP award with WR Justin Jefferson on the team.
They enter GFL Year 6 ready to do it all again... And that they did, and more. GM Ryan & Rickety Stool Co. would finish Year 6 with a dominating 12-2 record, another Garage Division Championship, and a 1st Round BYE to go along with it. Amongst those accolades they also set the record for best regular season record, most Points For in a season, and longest win streak to start a season (11). What was widely viewed as the most dominant regular season team in GFL history made easy work of their Semi-Finals opponent The Golden Rings, achieving the 2nd highest score in GFL playoff history. Unfortunately, it was flashbacks to GFL5 in the championship game, this time against Basement #3 seed Orangeville Ducks. The Stool Company fell 20 points short and now begins the process of retooling. GM Ryan would unveil a new logo for RSC at the GFL Year 7 Draft.
The new, state-of-the-art, open air stadium on the lake was a passion project of Stool Co. owner GM Ryan. Located in beautiful Lakeview, NY, the stadium holds an astounding 100,000 fans, but that doesn't stop the season ticket line being decades long already. The only complaint from the locals is how darn uncomfortable the seats are, though they hardly even notice with how often the players get them on their feet.
