GFL Hall of Fame Rules and Criteria:

Nominations

Three nomination categories:
Fantasy Goats, Team Icons, Lore Legends

-Nominations will come directly from the GFL Council

-Players must have minimum 3 years GFL experience to be nominated 

Voting

-Players shall be judged on their full GFL career (not just a single season)
Voters will take into account GFL stats, accolades, awards, memes, and lore

-Voting criteria is obviously subjective, however this should be treated like real sports league HOFs; it should be reserved for the best of the best.

-You may choose to abstain from voting [select “None”] if you do not believe any nominees deserve to be inducted at that time, there is no requirement for a player to be inducted each year.

-You may choose to vote for multiple nominees when allowed, up to 4 players may be inducted each year.

There will be 2 rounds of voting each year:

-Round 1 - Voters will be given up to two (2) votes per category. Each category will have at least 5 nominees.

Round 2 - Any nominee to receive at least 1 vote will move on to Round 2. Voters will be given up to four (4) total votes for the pool of remaining nominees.

Induction

Nominees must receive a minimum of 7 total votes in a single round of voting to be inducted 

Inducted players will be honored as a member of a specific team when obvious (ie: Mike Evans (4TH), Cooper Kupp (REDZ), Frank Gore (CHED))

Players inducted while in their prime (CMC, Mahomes, etc) will be honored by their current GFL team at the time of induction

Players who had legacies with multiple GFL teams and are no longer in their prime (Cook, AB, Julio) will be honored under a general GFL designation 

Players who receive a vote but do not get inducted will automatically be nominated for the next class for up to 2 more years of eligibility
